About
Nanette S. Zeller is an award-winning mixed-media textile artist, author, and instructor. Her artistic style (also known as art quilts) is innovative textile art with nature-inspired themes which are heavily embellished with thread to create beautiful textures. Her artwork has been exhibited in both solo and group shows at local and nationally recognized exhibits. In addition to numerous exhibition awards, Nanette is a three-time award recipient of the Regional Artist Grant Project offered through Fayetteville and Moore County NC Arts Councils.
Nanette’s interest in art and textile work started at a young age. She learned to sew when she was 10, minored in art in high school and was encouraged along the way by her parents and grandmothers. She continued making art while pursuing college, earning a master’s degree in wildlife biology from North Carolina State University. She enjoys sharing her skills and encouraging her students to create their own artistic style.
